According to the spirit of the Notice on Conducting the Selection of Advanced Teams for the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements of the Ninth Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing and the Incentive Measures for Promoting the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences by the Zhongguancun Management Committee and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing Branch, and after the joint review of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Beijing Branch and the Zhongguancun Science Park Management Committee, Our research team of "industrialization of OPM MEG" won the second prize of the 2019 "Award for Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements of Advanced Teams of Scientific and Technological Achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing", and the Science and Technology Cooperation and Achievement Transformation Office of our Science and Technology Department won the second prize of the 2019 "Award for Organization of Technology Transfer of Advanced Teams of Scientific and Technological Achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing".

The Chinese Academy of Sciences Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Award and Technology Transfer Work Organization Award were established by the Zhongguancun Management Committee to implement the spirit of the cooperation agreement between Beijing and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, promote the transformation and industrialization of scientific and technological achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, accelerate the construction of the Zhongguancun National Independent Innovation Demonstration Zone, and fully mobilize the enthusiasm and creativity of the scientific research team and technology transfer team of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in transforming scientific and technological achievements in Beijing, Reward technology transfer teams that promote the scientific and technological achievements of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to play an active role in Beijing transformation.

MEG is an important research tool in the field of cognitive science, as well as an important large-scale equipment for clinical neurology and psychiatric diagnosis. Taking epilepsy as an example: There are currently 9 million epilepsy patients in China, 3 million of whom are drug-resistant epilepsy. A considerable number of patients' lesions cannot be displayed using conventional methods such as MRI and CT. Their preoperative non-invasive diagnosis completely relies on MEG while traditional MEG equipment relies on ultra-low temperature detectors, with a procurement cost of over 20 million yuan and extremely high operating costs. They require a large amount of liquid helium imported from the United States, and the patient detection cost is around ¥10000 yuan/time, Currently, only a few thousand patients nationwide can use it every year, greatly limiting the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy . % ??The above greatly benefits the majority of patients with epilepsy and other neurological diseases. As a flagship device in functional electrophysiology, OPM MEG can drive the entire downstream industry chain of neuroelectrophysiological diagnosis/treatment.

OPM MEG is a new type of MEG technology based on room temperature sensitive magnetic detection. It can not only achieve wearable long-term recording of devices, open up a wider range of applications for cognitive science research and clinical applications, but also provide better diagnostic performance, reduce equipment procurement costs by more than 50%, reduce operating costs by two orders of magnitude, and reduce patient detection costs to less than ¥1000 yuan/time, Greatly benefiting patients with epilepsy and other neurological diseases. Promoting the industrialization of this project will not only make important contributions to improving the health level of Chinese residents, but as a flagship equipment for functional electrophysiology, it can also drive the entire downstream industry chain related to neuroelectrophysiological diagnosis/treatment.

The State Key Laboratory of Brain and Cognitive Sciences of our institute has the first special MEG system for scientific research in China, and has a deep research foundation in EEG/magnetic imaging hardware equipment and software algorithms. The research institute completed the first multi-channel OPM MEG prototype in China in September 2018 and obtained world-class test data. This work has been widely reported by domestic media, including the front page of Science and Technology Daily. In the same year, the first internationally developed brain computer interface research based on wearable MEG systems was completed and preliminary results were published. The overall performance level of our traditional MEG system ranks among the top three of the same type of equipment worldwide, providing a gold standard for the calibration, calibration, and application comparison of new MEG research and development processes. At the same time, a large active passive composite magnetic shielding room with the best performance in China has been built, providing a key testing environment for the development of new MEG. Based on more than 15 years of experience in the development of large-scale medical imaging equipment technology and clinical cooperation in the laboratory, we have collaborated with multiple hospitals on clinical trials of prototype machines in the new MEG.

In 2019, the research institute participated in the formation of Zhongke Zhiying (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. through the valuation of intellectual property rights. To promote the industrial transformation of the technological achievements. At present, the construction of the small sample machine has been completed and the productization work for clinical use has been promoted. The project has applied for multiple domestic and international patents; Authorized with one domestic invention patent and one utility model patent. We plan to complete the development of products that meet the requirements of clinical medical equipment within two years, initiate clinical trials, and obtain relevant international and domestic registration and certification to achieve the application of the product in the clinical market.
